Flood destroyed one thousand three hundred and fifty houses leaving thousands of people of Wanhalel County of Tonj State without shelters, commissioner confirmed on Tuesday.
Gordon Makuer Tiau said four Bomas are hard hit by the flood which he says is worse than that of last year, Radio Don Bosco reported.
He added that 13,850 people are affected by flood.
The Commissioner said the displaced persons are now seeking refuge in cattle camps.
Makuer explained that the victims who lost their food crops are suffering from hunger, water born diseases and snake bites.
He urged the state government and the partners to assist the internally displaced persons with medicine, food and non food items.
