Lutheran Evangelical Church of South Sudan and Sudan on Sunday ordained eight pastors, three evangelists and two repenting pastors.
Reverend Barna Buch of United States of America presided over the ordination under the theme: ‘God’s universal gift’, Radio Anisa reported.
Pastor Peter Anibat, who is in Charge of Lutheran Church in Yambio, urged the young people to preach the word of God and live in peace with each other.
He emphasised that the purpose of increasing the number of pastors in the church is to build Christians spiritually and to advocate for peace among communities.
Pastor Anibat revealed that the new pastors will work hard at this critical time in the State and South Sudan at large to ensure all people live in peace.
In another news development, twelve youth have reportedly been kidnapped on Sunday between Bariguna and Riiyubu Payams.
Ave Maria Catholic Parish Information Officer, Moses Raphael said security forces from Riiyubu were deployed to the vicinity to trace the missing youth and identify the kidnapers.
