Uganda is mourning Emeritus Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Arua Frederick Drandua who passed away on Thursday at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.
The Uganda Episcopal Conference together and the Diocese of Arua announced his death on Thursday, Radio Easter reported.
The body of the late Bishop will be laid to rest in Nebbi Cathedral Parish on Wednesday.
The late Bishop Drandua was born in Uleppi Parish, Nebbi Catholic Diocese on August 12, 1943.
He was ordained a priest on August 9, 1970, appointed Bishop of Arua Diocese on May 27, 1986 and consecrated on August 15, 1986.
Due to his health condition, Bishop Drandua retired from the Episcopal See of Arua Diocese on August 19, 2009.
