Tombura Commissioner to punish people interacting with Ambororo

Tombura Commissioner on Tuesday vowed to punish people who interact with Ambororo nomads who entered the county illegally.
 
Gbamisi Charles Babiro warned that any citizen who will be found giving sensitive information to the Ambororo will be dealt with seriously, Radio Anisa reported.
 
He said security organs and the county authorities are working hard to ensure that the foreign pastoralists immediately quit the area with all their cows and weapons.
 
Gbamisi said the presence of the foreign pastoralists in the county is a serious security threat to the communities and needs immediate response by the government.
 
He assured that despite the presence of the Ambororo in the area, security situation had improved in the past few weeks.
 
The Commissioner promised to work as team with the local government and the entire citizens to realize lasting peace in area and the state.
 
Charles reveals that the six criminals who were arrested and detained in the police custody two weeks ago for looting people at gunpoint, are being tried in the county court.
 
Few weeks ago Tombura County one of the peaceful area the state started experiencing security threats as some armed men were looting people’s property.
 
Unnecessary gunshots were also reported with causalities.
 
In another news development, citizens and Christians in Naandi Payam of Ezo County organized peace prayer on Wednesday at the tomb of King Pual Gbatanyaki Zungumbia.
 
Naandi Catholic Parish Priest presided over the Eucharistic celebration during the occasion.
