Health officials in Imotong State say four cholera cases were confirmed in Nimule as hundreds of refugees return from Uganda.
Amoko Simon, Pangeri County Health Director, says so far eleven patients have been admitted at the facility since August 15 before the samples were taken for confirmation, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He says there are no deaths cases.
Simon says most of those admitted at the Nimule Hospital were children below five years, but that most were discharged.
Imotong State Acting Health Minister, Magret Itto, blames the poor living conditions for the refugees at Elegu camps where most of those admitted in Nimule probably got the disease.
She says the ministry established a Cholera Treatment Center at Nimule-Uganda border and that health officials embark on massive community sensitization.
