The Governor of Tonj on Sunday called upon youth to be peacemakers and light to their communities in the state and the whole country.
Akech Tong Aleu urged youth to take agriculture seriously and restrain from politics and other social malpractices, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He encouraged youth to open up different activities in the state to avoid idle sitting under trees.
The State Minister of Information Madit Malek Akuein challenged the youth against involving themselves in negative politics.
He described the youth as the backbone of the country and future leaders.
The call came after former Warrap State Youth Union and Greater Tonj Youth Union members entered into a disagreement.
The two groups later agreed to come together and resolve their differences amicably.
