500 unauthorized guns were collected, now Tonj is calm without reported cases of unnecessary gunshots and fighting in villages, says State Minister of Information.
Madit Malek Akuien says the government is now dealing on isolated crimes and returning raided cattle to the rightful owners, Radio Don Bosco reports.
The minister says the state Assembly passed the Security Bill into law for effective disarmament and safety in Tonj.
The Minister appeals to the population to cooperate with the government to maintain peace in the state.
