The Association for Media Development in South Sudan or AMDISS condemned the decision to deploy security personnel to printing presses.
AMDISS Chairman Alfred Taban said the security personnel are deployed to take away some articles from Newspapers, Radio Bakhita reported.
He described the process as illegal because it subjects media houses to censorship and undermines freedom of expression.
The national security his month, removed more than six articles from the pages of the Nation Mirror and Juba Monitor Newspapers.
Taban said AMDISS is going to forward the case to the Media Authority, because it is a body that supervises media activities in the country.
He appealed to authorities to create favourable environment for the media to operate at the critical time of the implementation of the peace agreement.
AMDISS Chairman encouraged media practitioners to continue informing, educating, entertaining citizens and being watch dogs.
