Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC will participate in the discussion of parliamentarian chaplaincies of the Association of Members of Episcopal Conferences of East Africa or AMECEA in Lusaka, Zambia.
SCBC Secretary-General Fr Jacob Odwa Paul tells CRN that he is expected to leave Juba on Sunday as the meeting starts on Monday.
Fr Odwa says the Secretaries will get briefings on the preparations of the AMECEA plenary scheduled for 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He said Rectors of Major Seminaries both Theology and Philosophy sections will meet to acquaint themselves with the situations of the formation houses in AMECEA region.
The Secretary-General said the issue of the council for the laity in Aast Africa and capacity building of Bishops will also be discussed in the meeting.
Three Bishops of South Sudan and Sudan participated in the recent AMECEA capacity building training in Nairobi, Kenya.
