The Deputy Mayor in Tonj Municipality on Tuesday issued an order dissolving Legislative Council.
Arop Mark Mayol said the order is a plan to reduce councillors’ number from 35 to 15 as directed by the State Ministry of Local Government, Radio Don Bosco reports.
The Deputy Mayor requests the councillors who will be left out to remain patient and promised to consider them in the coming opportunities.
He urges the new councillors to commit themselves to their duties.
Mark says the fifteen councillors are going to be deployed in four blocks of Tonj town.
