The health secretariat in coordination with the local clinical institute on Monday began malnutrition workshop in Ndrudu of Heiban County in Nuba Mountains.
Director for Planning and Training in the region, Jamri Osman, said the training aims to teach health workers how to handle malnutrition cases, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
He noted that the training targets personnel working at health centres and few individuals from the secretariat.
The Director expressed optimism that the health workers after the training will acquire techniques of dealing with malnourished children and adults.
The workshop that attracted 45 people is expected to conclude after seven days.
