The newly appointed Minister of Finance pledged timely payment of salaries for civil servants as top priority despite the crisis.
Stephen Dhieu Dau called for immediate establishment of the National Revenue Authority to improve public collection and management, Radio Bakhita reported.
He stressed the need for transparency, accountability and management on the public finances.
The minister said their immediate work is preparation and presentation of national budget to the cabinet and the transitional assembly.
Stephen Dhieu Dau was appointed late last month replacing David Deng Athorbei.
