Authorities in Amadi State say schools have resumed on Monday after armed groups attacked the area.

The attack claimed lives of some residents with several others wounded and schools closed last month.

State Information Minister Victor Mabruk told Radio Bakhita in a telephone that all businesses are now running normally in the area.

He said all roads linking the areas to the state are opened, but some drivers only fear for their lives.

Amadi Sate has been experiencing serious fighting between government forces and armed group linked to SPLM/A in opposition.
