The South Sudan Business Union warns that attempts to impose price control in the markets will cause severe shortage of basic commodities in the country.
Any trial to direct prices will force business people to vacate markets due to restrictions, says Ngor Aywel Kacgor Secretary of the Union, Radio Bakhita reported.
The Union also condemns the recent looting of businesses during the fighting early July.
The South Sudan Chamber of Commerce announced last week that any trader found keeping goods in the store without selling to the public will be arrested and taken to court.
