No food items in Torit markets due to insecurity, says Imotong State Chamber of Commerce Secretary-General.

John Mayen Abraham says the insecurity that occurred in Torit two weeks ago made roads closed and many traders not able to bring goods, Radio Emmanuel reports.

He says traders who used to supply goods to Torit markets quit the business because of fear, but that commodities are underway.

Mayen calls on the state government to provide security on the roads for safe arrival of food commodities.

He appeals to fellow traders to consider the suffering of the people and charge affordable prices.

Many families in Torit are getting it difficult to provide a single meal per day to its members.
