The Brigade Commander of the SPLA in Yei River State has assured the citizens that the army is ready to protect them.
Chol Deng Chol reminded the army to respect and protect the civil population, Radio Easter reported.
He called on the civil population to cooperate with the forces to avert insecurity.
Any soldier, who transfers anger to the innocent civilians after clashing with the armed groups in the bush, will not be tolerated, Commander Chol warned.
The Brigade Commander was addressing thousands of citizens during the peaceful demonstration at Yei Freedom Square on Wednesday.
