Imotong State Deputy Governor is calling on citizens to keep proper hygiene as a preventive measure for cholera infections.
 
Margret Itto Leonardo stresses on the importance sensitizing the citizens on ways of avoiding cholera, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
She encourages trained health promoters to start distributing chlorine to all households for water treatment.
 
Dr Itto explains that the state is preparing due to its nearness to Juba although there are no cholera cases reported in Imotong.
 
The Deputy Governor who is acting as Health Minister tells Radio Emmanuel that Cholera Taskforce is grouped into committees of coordination, case management and surveillance.
 
Other committees include social mobilization, water and Sanitation and logistics.
