The Committee formed to investigate Tijor County violence in Terekeka State could not accomplish the task due to the recent clashes in Juba, says Information Minister.
Lodu Philip Jembeke told Radio Bakhita that the committee could not meet because some members are locked up in Terekeka.
The situation in the area is calm and people have resumed their normal activities, he confirms.
The Minister says most of the members appointed by the state governor ran to rescue their families during the violence in Juba.
He calls on the committee to report back to the government to pave way for peace and reconciliation programs in Terekeka State communities.
The spokesperson also informs the citizens that the state government is working to compensate their lost property.
