Health officials in Torit, Imotong State are setting up mechanisms for cholera prevention.
Director-General in the Ministry of Health Augustine Okwahi tells Radio Emmanuel that they are holding meetings to find ways of preventing the infection, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He adds that Torit is always prone to cholera outbreak especially during rainy seasons.
The meetings followed reports of cholera suspected cases in Juba.
Dr Okwahi urges citizens to keep proper hygiene and dig pit latrines in their houses for safety.
The Director-General was speaking to Radio Emmanuel on Monday in Torit.
