Tolerating immoral leisure activities such as ladies’ night is making South Sudan to rot morally, warns a National Member of Parliament in the Committee of Culture.
Scopas Taban Lo Kabang says with the HIV and AIDS pain, allowing activities like night disco clubs is promoting moral decay and loss of the youthful population.
He says even if disco clubs may be money generating activities, their impact on the youth is more harmful than helpful.
The MP challenges law enforcement agents to crack down moral degenerating activities in the country.
Taban also warns young people especially girls against being sexually loose for any man.
See examples of moral role models to avoid adopting bad foreign cultures, the MP advises.
There are many hot spots for sex workers and HIV and AIDS prevalence in the country, says Dr Alexander Dimiti, Director-General in the national Ministry of Health.
He identifies tea selling points, bars, hotels and lodges as the hot spots for sex workers trading HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections.
The Director-General says teamwork is the only way to save South Sudanese youthful population from moral decay.
