There will be no public celebration of South Sudan’s fifth anniversary of the Independence in Yei on July 9th this year, announces State Information Minister.
Stephen Lodu Onesimo says due to lack of budget, there will be no gathering in Yei, Freedom Square, Radio Easter reports.
However, he says citizens can celebrate the Day in their families and other local levels of organizations.
Minister Lodu calls on the citizens to celebrate the Day in peace and harmony.
He assures that the security is normal in the state.
The Information Minister was speaking to Radio Easter on Friday morning.
