Rumbek State Hospital is receiving more cases of malaria than the other diseases due to the rainy season.
Dr Barnaba Bol Amukpiu, a Medical Director in Rumbek Hospital says children are the most affected group compared to adults, Radio Good News reports.
But no related deaths have been recorded, he clarifies.
Dr Bol emphasizes on the use of treated mosquito nets and cleaning the environment to prevent mosquito bites.
He advises people to report any case of malaria for early treatment.
Dr Bol calls upon the national government to supply enough drugs because of the increase in diseases.
