Tonj State War veterans appeal to South Sudanese to stop hatred and be more patriotic.
The veterans said their vision was not to fight among themselves, but struggle for independent South Sudan, Radio Don Bosco reports.
Captain Kuol Ater Majok, who joined SPLA in 1980s, said South Sudanese must respect those who died during the liberation struggle for the freedom of the nation.
He questioned why today people of South Sudan are killing each other for power greed.
Captain Ater said some of the veterans are missing parts of their bodies and still happy because of the independence.
The veteran who missed his leg, said he does not regret being disabled, but happy when he sees young children of South Sudan free today.
