The International Committee of the Red Cross or ICRC says the humanitarian situation in Wau is still critical.
ICRC Media Officer, Alyona Synenko, tells CRN in an exclusive interview that more people are still being displaced outside Wau town.
The displaced especially outside Wau town are in very difficult situation, the official says.
Synenko says ICRC is facing logistical difficulties in delivering quick relief items for the needy in Wau.
She says so far the agency has free humanitarian access to the displaced although the level of need continues to increase every day.
The official says the agency is trying to assist the displaced persons with food, water, accommodation and family reunification services.
The level of displacement by recent violence in Wau has reportedly hit over 70 thousand.
The Transitional Government is investigating the cause of the recent violence in the area.
