The Speaker of Western Lakes State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday promised to sustain the peace signed after a three-day conference in Rumbek.
Marik Nanga Marik said the parliament is ready to make laws to govern the state and its people, Radio Good News reported.
Governor Abraham Makoi Bol expressed government’s commitment to abide by the resolutions in order to maintain peace in the state.
He urged the spiritual leaders to cooperate to bring lasting peace in the whole state.
Communities of Kuei, Rup, Pakam, Church, Diaspora and government representatives signed the Agaar Peace Conference resolutions.
