The academic staff members of the University of Juba have called off their strike after receiving outstanding payments.
The lecturers, who had been on an indefinite strike declared an end to the move on Tuesday evening, Radio Bakhita reports.
The cancellation of the lecturers’ strike comes after a recent meeting.
The lecturers started what they described as an open sit-in- strike in May this year.
They say the government failed to pay their salaries and allowances for three months.
The lecturers have reportedly received three months’ pay, convincing them to call off their strike.
