Viable Support to Transition & Stability or VISTAS has organised peace walk with students of Loreto Girls’ Secondary School, chanting ‘break the silence’ to inform community on the importance of peace.

Loreto Deputy Principal, Nelson Kiarie Mututho says the school and community have seen the importance of peace in the country, Radio Good News reports.

Walking to town preaching peace will catch public attention, the peace demonstrators believe.

Kiarie adds that peace is achievable through mental formation.

Peace will prevail if people see one another as brothers and sisters, but not enemies, the Deputy Principal points out.

He urges South Sudanese to forgive one another.

More than 200 students joined by tens of villagers participated in the peace walk for six miles on Saturday.
