A Priest in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek calls on students of Bishop Mazollari Memorial Secondary School and others to respect teachers, parents and themselves.

Fr Marko Tong Dihany says students need to have respect and discipline for their teachers as they yearn for quality education, Radio Good News reports.

In 40 years to come, some students in secondary school now will be governors, he predicts.

Be serious in your studies in preparing for bright future, Fr Tong advises.

The priest says South Sudan will only develop through education as it eliminates ignorance.

He adds that education makes people love themselves, their country and continent.

The clergy made the remarks in his homily during the welcoming ceremony of senior one of Bishop Mazollari Memorial Secondary School in Rumbek.
