Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop says bishops had three days’ meeting in Juba praying for lasting peace in South Sudan.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala says during the three days the bishops raised concerns about the situation in the country and what to do pastorally to contribute for peace, Radio Anisa reports.
He says the catholic bishops also met some members of the Transition Government of National Unity to encourage them to be less negative, but optimistic and proactive.
Bishop Hiiboro urges people not to turn against one another in the current economic hardship.
The bishop was speaking upon arrival at Yambio Airstrip from Juba on Thursday.
