The media should enlighten citizens about the basic democratic principles to enable them elect their leaders, says Gbudwe State Minister of Information.
Joseph Natale Sabuni calls on radio programmers to effectively discuss good principles, Radio Anisa reports.
He calls on media houses also to discuss the rule of law for equal treatment of common people and officials for justice to prevail.
Minster Sabuni reveals that journalists in Gbudwe State are free to do their work without intimidations from the government.
But, during World Press Freedom Day this year, journalists complained that they do not have access to information and that some officials dodged to speak to media.
The Minister made this remark during an interview on freedom to information and expression with Anisa Radio Citizen Journalist in Yambio.
