Three priests in the Catholic Diocese of Torit on Thursday are celebrating 16 years of their services.
Fr Anthony Ubeo Gilo, Parish Priest of St Mathew, Fr John Wajaras and Fr Ijidio Okanyi were ordained on June 23, 2000 in Khartoum Archdiocese, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Expressing his delight to God for the 16 years of priestly life, Fr Ubeo recounts the day of ordination filled with tears of joy.
Fr Ubeo calls on his fellow priests to recommit themselves and proclaim the word of God to the needy.
He asks for forgiveness for the mistakes he might have committed during his service to God.
To attract many people to the vocation, priests should be able to show good example to their flock.
The priest encourages parents to allow their children to take up religious missions and commit them to the church.
Fr Ubeo reminds all believers to always remember thanking God in whatever life they undergo.
