A lawmaker calls on peace partners to accelerate the process of forming the Transitional National Assembly to allow legislators perform their duties.
Thomas Wani Kundu, Chairperson of the Equatoria Caucus in the Parliament says delays in expanding the parliament slow down the work of the house, Radio Bakhita reports.
He urges the peace monitors to pressurize the parties to the agreement to hurry up and implement the remaining parts of the August Peace Agreement.
The Peace Agreement provides that a transitional national assembly be established within 90 days after signing of the deal and more 68 members be appointed.
The Transitional Government of National Unity is yet to appoint lawmakers and the speaker of the Parliament.
