British Ambassador to South Sudan has dismissed media reports that Troika countries sent a letter demanding changes in government positions.
Eye Radio on Monday, reported that Troika countries addressed a letter to the government, calling for cancellation of the 28 states and dismissal of Finance Minister and the Governor of Central Bank.
Radio Bakhita quotes Tim Morris as saying he has no idea about the letter, describing the report as ‘nonsense’.
He says Troika countries would not interfere in the appointment of senior government officials.
Ambassador Morris expresses the commitment of Troika and its partners’ to work with the Transitional Government to ensure a sound approach to the economic challenges affecting South Sudan.
