Traffic police in Yei is urging vehicles’ drivers and riders to lower their speed to avoid accidents.
The call came after six cases of accidents have been registered within two weeks, Radio Easter reports.
Traffic Police Director, Minallah Juma, says recently two major accidents occurred along Morobo and Maridi highways, with some injured people now under treatment.
Juma advises pedestrians to first look right and left before crossing the road.
He calls for cooperation between the citizens and the traffic police to improve passage.
He says the traffic police will continue to provide safe movement of school children and cars every day.
