Catholic University of South Sudan, Juba Campus will next week host a public lecture on the role of civil society in political transition.
The lecture is designed to promote public discussion of emerging political and cultural issues in the country.
The teaching comes at a critical time following the establishment of Transitional Government of National Unity.
Analysts believe a civil society which is confident and well resourced can contribute to political talk and nation building by holding public institutions to account.
The lecture will bring together academics, activists, church leaders, chiefs and press to discuss the nature of civil society in South Sudan especially its past and future place in the public sphere.
