Kajo-Keji County in Yei River State is relatively calm following the two days of clashes in Nyepo Payam, says Council Legislative Speaker.
Wolyan Patrick says displaced people mainly children are arriving to Kajo-Keji Town looking exhausted after long distance walk, Radio Easter reports.
He says the IDPs need urgent food, shelter and medical services.
The incident occurred during a market day last week when civilians were for business transactions.
The clashes led to heavy displacement of civilians mainly from the Bomas of Rodo, Lori and Kansuk in Nyepo Payam.
Officials in the area are calling on humanitarian agencies to rescue the dire situation of the displaced people.
