The Catholic Bishops of South Sudan are assembling in Juba on Tuesday to renew commitment on their efforts on reconciliation, forgiveness and total peace in the country.

The Bishops come together to review the implementation of the peace agreement, says Fr Charles Abbud, Secretary-General of South Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Secretariat.

The gathering is also an opportunity for the Bishops to give out Church’s voice to the Transitional Government of National Unity, he adds.

The President of the Catholic Bishops of South Sudan Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro will chair the meeting.

The meeting is expected to witness a number of presentations from key leaders of the institutions of the Catholic Church.
