Japanese Contingent of the UN Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS on Friday donated clothes, shoes and sporting items to the freed child soldiers in the country.
Ide Toshiharu, Focal Point of UNMISS of the Contingent says Japan will continue helping South Sudan, Radio Bakhita reports.
The donation will be dispatched immediately to the released children in Pibor, Bentiu and other areas, says Majur Mayor Machar, Deputy Chairperson of National Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Commission.
Mayor says this is the third time the Japanese Contingent in UNMISS is donating items to the commission.
