Federal Affairs minister says citizens need to be sensitized on a federal system of government.
Richard K. Mulla says his ministry is following the system in line with the august peace agreement, Radio Bakhita reports.
He says his ministry is ready to take a full part in educating the citizens about the system.
‘People obviously like federal system, but they need to be taught the types of federal system that will come into existence. So I believe that we are going to succeed since it is the wish of the people. And the few minority those who are refusing the federal system will be overcome, it is a matter of time’, the minister elaborates.
Mulla says cites challenges including lack of office space.
He says his Ministry is working with United Nations Development Program, LOGGOSEED and other partners to set up offices for the institute.
‘May be early August we may be know what we are going to do, preparing budget hopefully, submit it to the council of ministers then it will go to the assembly. When it is approved, we will be able to employ our staff, bringing in some provisions for hiring premises. That’s how we intend to start’, says Mulla.
South Sudan had been using a decentralized system of government inherited from Sudan.
