African Bishops discuss using modern communication for evangelization

Bishops and coordinators for social communications in the regional conferences of Africa started talking on how to make use of the modern means of communication for evangelization.
 
The meeting began on Monday in Accra, Ghana, CANAA reports.
 
Chairman of the Pan-African Committee for Social Communications, Bishop Emmanuel Badejo said the meeting is to set new plans for improving social communication activities on the continent.
 
He said the meeting present the strategic plan and talk about how the various commissions and departments can collaborate with the regional and continental offices.
 
Bishop Badejo said they reviewed recommendations to the 17th plenary of the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar or SECAM scheduled for July 18-25 in Angola.
 
He added that participants will also receive input on developing and managing websites for the Church in Africa.
 
They would also be informed on the setting up of email address for Bishops’ conferences using the SECAM domain, the Bishop said.
