A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit prays for young people in Imotong State to be instruments and ambassadors of peace.
Opening the youth conference on Wednesday in Torit, Justice and Peace Coordinator, Fr John Opi Severino, asks God to make Imotong youth solid rocks of peace, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Likening the youth to fruitful trees along the rivers, the priest prays for the young people to find joy in obeying the will of God and bring peace to the country.
Fr Opi encourages the youth to be kind, tolerant and forgiving to one another.
The three-day youth conference that ended on Friday was held under the theme: ‘Peace, unity and development’.
The conference aims at enlightening young people on their roles and responsibilities on peace building in the state.
