The strikes of lecturers of the five public universities in South Sudan over unpaid salaries and allowances have reached nearly ten days.
The strikes are affecting hundreds of students countrywide, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Idaal Peter Silverio, a fourth year student of Economic says the strike negatively affected them because supervisors do not follow their research works.
Asunta Musama one of the students in first year in the College of Economics complains that the strike is too long,
She calls on the government to quickly address the demands of lecturers.
But Apugy Kulang the Chairman of the Staff Association in the University of Bahr El Ghazal says their strikes continue because the government did not resolve their claims.
Apugy says the academic staff are aware of the impact of the strikes as the year will be extended.
The lectures say they will not compromise with what affect not only them but their entire families.
