The Minister of Higher Education instructed all Vice Chancellors of the five public universities to take disciplinary steps against the striking staff, says spokesperson.
Philip Finish Apollo says they are yet to comment on the minister’s instruction.
He says the authorities promised earlier to look into their issue, but until now nothing materialized.
All the public universities are currently on a sit-down strikes for over a week due to delay of salaries and allowances.
