The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Japan Agency for International Cooperation, JICA will send fourteen South Sudanese Athletes to participate in the Olympic qualification games in South Africa.
The fourteen athletes will compete for a place to represent South Sudan in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in August, Radio Bakhita reports.
Under the deal, JICA will help the Olympic Committee with accommodation and transpiration of athletes to South Africa and to Brazil if they qualify.
JICA South Sudan Representative, Mitsuaki Furukawa urges the athletes to show to the world the abilities of South Sudan and help raise the flag in the Olympics.
Sports Minister, Nadia Arop Dudi, calls on the private sector to support game programs in the country.
South Sudan will participate in the Rio Olympic Games for the first time since the independence.
The 14 athletes are travelling to South Africa this month includes ten men and four women to compete in the qualification games.
