The Ministry of Education in Yei River State warns it will close down schools that will not meet education standards.
The move would be effective when much awareness is done to all schools, Amule Felix, Director-General in the ministry, tells Radio Easter.
He calls on the education stakeholders, partners and the community to cooperate with the ministry.
The required standards for a school establishment are: enough land, well furnished school, qualified teachers and management committees, he explains.
There are more than 200 schools including nursery, primary and secondary in Yei alone.
Some of them are operating in rented residential buildings while some face land occupation by residents around.
