The Governor of Wau warns security forces in the state against spreading rumours which creates panic and insecurity among citizens.
Elias Waya says he received false information from some security agents about the movement of opposition forces northwest of Wau to attack the town, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He advised the people in Wau to remain calm and do their normal business.
He declared that residential areas southwest of Wau witness security progress after the withdrawal of arm forces a month ago.
Also people return back to areas like Baggari, Ngisa and Farajallah after the visit of the humanitarian agencies and security now is stable there, Governor Waya adds.
