More tractors are undergoing repair to be added to the ones handed to counties, says Yei State chairperson of tractors utilization committee.
Each county is expected to receive four tractors: one for the municipality and three for demonstration purposes at the ministry of Agriculture, Radio Easter reports.
Edmond Taban Gogo says the tractors would be sent to the respective counties after fixing.
He says the tractors will be available in affordable price to the local farmers in the county.
Gogo says county agriculture commissioners will form gender balanced committees for the management and usage of the tractors in the lower levels.
Mawa George Lazarus, Executive Director of Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development, calls for transparent use of the tractors.
He says proper use of the tractors will supplement local efforts to get rid of hunger.
