United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS on Wednesday conducted one-day forum for thirty-five women leaders in Lol State on peace building.
Mustafa Tejan Kela, UNMISS Civil Affairs team leader, says the forum aimed at empowering women on the process of peace implementation and conflict management, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He added that the skills will enable them to contribute positively in peace building in the country.
Tajan explains that the forum focused more on conflict management, women role in decision making and building tranquility.
Participant Angelina Julio hopes that women would be peace ambassadors in the entire state after the training.
She appealed to the UNMISS to conducts the same training for women in rural areas.
UNMISS team is in Raja to conduct two trainings for women and community and political leaders in the area.
