Police in Western Lakes State instructs the public to be in their homes by at least six PM to give them chance to crack down the gangs in the town.
Manasseh Kuluel Chindut, Chief Inspector of Police in Rumbek Central County, requests the entire public, including business community in the market to close early, Radio Good News reports.
Law enforcement agents will not comprise with violators, he warns.
Kuluel also says the police are very few and cannot protect everyone as some were deployed to Gok and Eastern Lakes States.
He urges the public to assist police in protecting themselves.
The criminals target residents dwelling near swampy areas of Rumbek town or forests.
