Artist marks SPLA Day with open air music performance

An artist from Ikwoto County of Imotong State is marking the SPLA Day by staging a live music performance in Torit Town.
 
Wonlok James known by his artistic name as WJ the King held several performances of peace songs at the Square on Monday.
 
In an interview with Radio Emmanuel, the king of Lokwilili calls on civilians to come together with the organized forces to restore peace in the country.
 
He encourages the citizens not to fear the army but support each other through respect and love.
 
The artist sympathizes the hardships of the army bears in the process of maintaining peace and security of citizens and the country at large.
 
WJ appeals to the government to improve the living standard of its citizens by ensuring peace and security in the country.
 
Expressing their gratitude over the Day, Torit citizens recognize May 16 as a great day for South Sudanese.
 
Early in the day, in Torit Town, sounds of gunshots could be heard from army Barracks marking the SPLA Day.
